The rise of remote work from a ‘third place’

Recent findings revealed that almost half of remote workers now spend considerable amount of time working from cafes or other third places.

This trend is particularly popular with Gen Z workers. 10 per cent indicated that working from a third places is their preferred place to work. On average, people who work in third places will do so two to three times a week, stay between 15 minutes to four hours and will typically spend up to $30 each visit.

Venues looking to attract these types of workers should note, key attracting factors included: feeling welcome, venue reviews, dedicated working space, wi-fi and available power sockets.
